Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) will begin an in-depth school year study on Thursday, September 15. The study continues each Thursday with breaks for Christmas/New Years and Spring Break until mid-May. Meeting in the Fellowship Hall from 10 to 11:30 a.m., this in-depth study focuses on A Kingdom Divided, A Study of Old Testament Kings and Prophets.
Why Study the OT Kings and Prophets?
Because through the Kings and Prophets, we learn to hold fast to God’s character, uncovering new facets of who He was, is, and will always be. Also, these books highlight humanity’s enduring struggle with sin and a need for a savior. Lastly, these books are deeply integrated into the fabric of the New Testament. The Gospel writers relied heavily on Old Testament prophecies to recognize Jesus as the One True Messiah. New Testament passages come to life, gaining greater depth and resonance, when we study the Old Testament references they contain.
