Your Emmaus group invites you to experience a deeper spiritual life.
On Tuesday, October 25, at 4 p.m., Ed Corbitt will share an introduction to the contemplative tradition. Pastor Pete will share the Sacrament of Holy Communion following Ed’s presentation.
Then on Tuesday, November 29, Ed Corbitt will provide an introduction to Thomas Merton. The plan is to then invite those interested, to engage in an eight-session discussion of Bridges to Contemplative Living with Thomas Merton.
Participants will be invited to encounter God’s presence through a fuller, richer prayer-filled life. Using short writings from Merton and other spiritual masters, this eight-session booklet gently leads participants on a journey toward self-discovery, spiritual transformation, and a more contemplative and peace-filled life. The first monthly small-group gathering will happen on January 17, 2023.
